The pilot of a crop duster that crashed in northern Vermilion Parish Wednesday is expected to survive. According to sources close to the investigation, the pilot, Gary Noel of Abbeville, suffered injuries to his lower extremities, but those injuries are not life-threatening. Noel's plane went down in a field near the intersection of Ward and Wildflower Roads in the community of Leleux.
