Monroe voters will consider three tax renewals and term limits for the mayor and city council in November.
The city will ask voters to renew three tax proposals that generate more than $1.6 million annually.
The renewals fund recreational facilities, public safety and drainage facilities.
Monroe Mayor Jamie Mayo says city leaders will conduct a public awareness campaign to remind voters the tax measures are all renewals, and not new taxes.
If approved by voters, term limits would go into effect following the present term of the mayor and council members.
The measure calls for voters to decide on establishing term limits of three consecutive terms for the mayor and council members.
The items will be placed on the Nov. 16 ballot.
