St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Daily Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 41 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Mikel Ashley, 42, 121 Calumet Cut Lane, Calumet, LA was arrested on August 12, 2013 at 12:15 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family.

Michelle Ashley, 43, 121 Calumet Cut Lane, Calumet, LA was arrested on August 12, 2013 at 12:15 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of hydrocodone.

While responding to a complaint, deputies made contact with Mikel and Michelle Ashley and learned of the warrants for their arrest. Both were transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set for Mikel. Michelle's bond is set at $10,000.

Juvenile male, 13, Franklin was arrested on August 12, 2013 at 5:11 pm for simple battery. A deputy responded to a complaint of a fight in the Franklin area. During the investigation, the deputy learned that two juvenile males that had been arguing earlier in the day were involved in a fistic encounter. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Nicolas Chauvin, 34, 4051 Francis Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on August 12, 2013 at 5:15 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of domestic abuse battery. Chauvin turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center after learning of the warrant for his arrest. He was released on a $10,000 bond.
The following arrest was made on August 11, 2013.
Heather Ann Forristal, 23, 148 Honey Lane, Morgan City, LA was arrested on August 11, 2013 at 4:25 pm for simple battery. A deputy working detail at a business in Amelia responded to a disturbance. The deputy observed Forristal yelling and cursing at an employee. After being asked to leave the business, Forristal pushed the employee. She was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. She was released on a $500 bond.
