Two young children were turned over to Child Protection officials after police served a search warrant at an Alexandria house where drugs with a street value of about $25,000 and a handgun were found.
Police say the Central Region Anti-Crime Task Force served the warrant at a house.
Authorities say both crack and powdered cocaine was found, along with a handgun.
Police booked 31-yeaer-old Daniel Morris and 30-year-old Quante Morris with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm with drugs in the presence of a minor.
The task force includes Alexandria and Pineville police, as well as FBI Safe Streets members.
