The Louisiana IceGators announced today that Matt Robertson, the leading scorer during the 2012-2013 season,will be returning to the ice with the Gators this fall.
Before joining the IceGators Robertson, a native of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, played for the Ice Flyers during the 2011-2012 season where he posted 41 points in 54 games. Once joining the IceGators last season Matt began to prove he was an offensive force that would help the Gators reach the SPHL Semifinals. In 56 games with the IceGators, "Robo," as his teammates call him, scored 29 goals and 27 assists for 56 points on the season. During the IceGators post season run for the Presidents Cup he would post another 7 points in 6 games.
