Ouachita Parish deputies have arrested a 28-year-old woman accused of leaving her three children home to go to work.
Tenisa Octavia Lyles was booked into Ouachita Correctional Center Tuesday on three counts of child desertion.
In an arrest affidavit, deputies were called to Lyles' home in reference to a welfare complaint. The father of Lyles' children, ages 1, 2 and 9, said Lyles left them alone to go to work.
The report stated the father told deputies Lyles went to work around 4:45 and he returned home around 7 p.m. to find them alone.
Deputies determined the father arranged for his mother to watch the children and for Lyles to drop them off with her, which she failed to do.
