The Better Business Bureau of Acadiana Board of Directors upheld the revocation of two companies and reinstated BBB Accreditation to a third business following a recent meeting of the Board of Directors' Executive Committee.
Following appeals by all three businesses July 30, the Executive Committee of the Better Business Bureau upheld its decision to revoke Accreditation of Landry's Collision Center and Pools Unlimited and reinstated BBB Accreditation to Benoit Roofing & Construction.

The BBB's Board of Directors originally voted to revoke three companies June 27 and notified Pools Unlimited, 143 White Wing Lane, Sunset, LA 70584, that its accreditation was revoked for failure to resolve two complaints.
BBB Accredited Businesses are required to respond to customer complaints, make a good faith effort to resolve complaints and to honor arbitration decisions. Failure to do so is considered prejudicial to the best interests of the BBB and private enterprise.
BBB notified Landry's Collision Center, 207 West Broussard Road, Lafayette, LA 70506, its accreditation was revoked for failure to arbitrate a compliant.
According to the BBB Code of Business Practices, businesses are required to make a good faith effort to resolve disputes, which includes arbitration. The company failed to agree to arbitrate at the request of BBB.
BBB notified Benoit Roofing & Construction, P.O. Box 60476, Lafayette, LA 70596, its accreditation was reinstated after initially being revoked for failing to provide licensing information in a timely manner and quickly responding to BBB requests for this information.
According to the BBB Code of Business Practices, companies are expected to fulfill all licensing and bonding requirements, including providing all licensing and bonding information upon application for BBB accreditation; and provide periodic updates upon request of BBB.
