The City of Patterson has been cited for an Honorable Mention in the 2012 Community Achievement Award's Competition sponsored by Louisiana Municipal Association, a group founded in 1926 and represents more than 300 municipalities across the state. Patterson was recognized by Louisiana Municipal Association, Louisiana Department of Economic Development and Louisiana Industrial Development Executive Association for outstanding community improvements in basic services within population group 3,001 to 10,000. In this population group, The City of Ville Platte was the overall winner recognized for the City's Recycling efforts. Patterson was recognized for its New Water Plant before a crowd of 1,500 attendees at the 76th LMA Annual Convention held in Monroe. The theme for the three-day convention was "Cities Mean Business ." Pictured L-R City Councilman Charles R.
