GONZALES, La. (AP) - Gonzales police say single-vehicle wreck on Interstate 10 in Ascension Parish left one man dead and two others injured.
A Ford F-350 carrying three people was traveling west on I-10 Thursday afternoon when one of the truck's tires blew out, causing the driver to lose control and strike a guardrail near the La. Highway 44 exit in Gonzales.
Nethken says the driver, partially ejected from the truck, died as a result of his injuries.
A female passenger and young child also in the vehicle were taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales for treatment of serious injuries.
Nethken says the names of the driver and two passengers were being withheld pending notification of family members.
