LARC's Acadian Village will host its 2nd annual Summer Carnival fundraiser on August 3-4 to benefit the LARC organization.
Summer Carnival will feature activities for adults and children including carnival rides, a variety of games, magic shows, a petting zoo, live music and entertainment, fun jumps and wet slides, and a new talent competition.
Along with lots of family-friendly activities, the Talent Competition presented by Paragon Casino & Resort this year adds a new feature open to all talents and ages. Chubby Carrier will participate as a competition judge, among others from the community. First, second, and third cash prizes will be awarded to winners.
"Our Summer Carnival is a great event for all ages and gives families something fun to do before school starts," said Megan Morris, Director of LARC's Acadian Village. "We are excited to bring the event back this year after a very positive response last year. The new talent competition offers something new to the event, and we encourage the community to come see the competition."
Sponsors for this event include The Daily Advertiser, Paragon Casino & Resort, PHI Inc., Abshire's Lawnmower Repair, Cumulus Media, Sonic, Hulco Printers, Schilling Distributors, Raising Cane's, Blue Bell, and Super 1 Foods.
The event will be held August 3-4 from 10am-4pm at Acadian Village, with the talent competition on August 3 at 12pm. Admission prices are $5 per adult, $3 per child, and children 4 and under are free. All activities and concessions are additional.
