BURAS, La. (AP) - A 40-year-old Buras woman has been arrested on charges of dealing synthetic marijuana.
The Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office said narcotics agents found the illegal substances in the home and pickup of Catina Marie Pelas Whiteley.
Detectives tell The Times-Picayune agents to search her truck and found 92 packages of synthetic marijuana and drug paraphernalia in her purse on the truck's seat.
The agents arrested her Friday during a traffic stop then got a search warrant for her home. They found 12 packets of synthetic marijuana, seven hydrocodone pills, seven doses of amphetamine, a hand-rolled cigar containing synthetic marijuana, a smoking pipe, rolling papers, a notebook ledger and more than $350 in cash.
Whiteley was booked with possession with intent to distribute a drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
