According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 42 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Elijah G. Percle, 2110 Highway 182, Patterson, LA was arrested on July 29, 2013 at 8:43 am for violation of the parish leash law. A deputy responding to an animal complaint identified Percle as the owner of two dogs that had been seen roaming the area. Percle was released on a summons to appear in court on October 9, 2013.
Corey Edward Graves, 33, 1038 Red Cypress Road, Patterson, LA was arrested on July 29, 2013 at 3:26 pm on a warrant for failure to register as a sex offender. A deputy located Graves at his residence on the warrant. Graves was convicted of carnal knowledge of a juvenile in 2002 in St. Mary Parish. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
Mark Evans, 49, 101 3B's Ln. #16 Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on July 29, 2013 at 7:09 pm for distribution of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Donald Brooks, Jr., 51, 5254A Meadville Rd., Liberty, MS was arrested on July 29, 2013 at 7:09 pm for possession of marijuana.
During a narcotics investigation, detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division observed two subjects meet and conduct a hand to hand drug transaction in the parking lot of the Plantation Inn. Detectives made contact with the subjects, identified as Evans and Brooks, and located marijuana on them. Both were transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set for Evans. Brooks' bond is set at $2,000. Pictures of both are attached.
