Acadiana CARES Receives Three Year CARF International Accreditation

Acadiana CARES has been accredited by Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) International with a three-year accreditation period.

Acadiana CARES' residential substance abuse treatment program, known as Seasons of Serenity, is a 36-bed facility offering primary and secondary programs of substance abuse treatment. Its mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of people affected by substance abuse, poverty, HIV/AIDS, and homelessness using a client-centered approach. People in recovery are able to transition from dependency to self-sufficiency in phased programs in a safe and caring environment free of discrimination and social stigma.

Both programs are open to any individual in need of the services. The primary program is a 90-day intensive recovery treatment program and the secondary program, while less intense, is for individuals that may need the extra support of longer treatment care while transitioning to work and into the community, lasting 9 to 12 months.

Additionally, the primary program also contains a recovery track specifically designed to be sensitive to the needs to those who are in recovery and HIV positive.

Acadiana CARES provides housing and case management service, STD/HIV testing, prevention, and education, and other ancillary services to help keep Acadiana healthy. For more information about the work CARES does, visit www.acadianacares.org or on Facebook at: www.facebook.com/AcadianaCares.
