The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division reports the following arrests:
Jamie M. Williams, 26, 1305 Burke Place Ln, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on July 18, 2012 at approximately 2:00pm on Barrow St. in Amelia, LA on a warrant for introduction of contraband into a penal institution, distribution of Schedule I MDMA (Ecstasy), and 2 counts distribution of Marijuana in addition to the charge of possession of Marijuana. Agents with the Narcotics Division located and stopped Williams in her vehicle on Barrow St. Agents advised Williams of the warrant for her arrest. During a search of the vehicle agents located Marijuana. Williams was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond had been set at the time of the press release. This arrest is the result of an investigation of contraband being entered into the parish jail.
