Governor Bobby Jindal refuses to implement the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, although the Supreme Court ruled it to be constitutional. The governor is hoping the next Congress does away with this act.

"We've got to improve health care, but we've got to give consumers choices. We don't need this government entitlement program," said Jindal in an interview with Fox News. Jindal used words like, "ridiculous" and "absurd" to to describe the Supreme Court's ruling.
"They're saying our federal government can now tax us for not doing some things. Americans, where does that end?"

By 2014, if you can afford have health insurance, but don't have it you'll have to pay a penalty to the IRS. If you can't afford insurance, government subsidies will be available. Jindal says this is "a blow to our freedoms" and that President Obama "forced this law on us."

"He's bending the health care cost upward not downwards. This is a ridiculous law and it needs to be repealed," said Jindal.

Under the new law, states must set up a health insurance exchange program by 2014 and will receive grants from the federal government to implement it. Jindal will put this off as long as he can hoping the law will be repealed if Mitt Romney wins the election. If elected, Romney vows to repeal it. "We're going to do everything we can to defeat President Obama and get rid of Obamacare," he added.

The Louisiana Democratic Party posted this our their Facebook page: "As long as there is a Republican presidential nomination, a seat on a Republican ticket vacant, or the hallucinatory belief that there will be such a thing as a "President Romney," we in Louisiana know that our governor will spare no effort to advance his personal agenda even at the expense of the interests of small businesses and Louisiana consumers."
