This weekend Texas Equusearch is back in Acadiana. You'll remember, they're a search and recovery group, which spent time here in the first days and weeks after Mickey went missing. They left, but vowed to return once new information surfaced. While it's unclear where they are searching, and whether or not they've found anything, the group posted on Facebook they are not in need of volunteers, this time around. They're using only Texas Equusearch members for this latest search.
To the suspect in Mickey's disappearance, Brandon Lavergne is still being held without bond, but he's due before a grand jury Wednesday on charges of first degree murder and aggravated kidnapping. The grand jury will then choose whether to indict him on those charges or not.
"We're urging people not to form groups, or to overdramatize the situation on Wednesday," said Mickey's friend Josh Coen, "It's gonna' be a very big day for all of us. So we need to make sure that day is treated with respect and patience."
