The St. Landry Parish Council voted Thursday to file a lawsuit against Parish President Bill Fontenot. Council members say Fontenot has not provided them with the documents they have requested to proceed with an investigation into the potential wrongdoings by any parish employees. Fontenot says he feels he is in full compliance with the law because the documents are available for review and copying in his office anytime council members wish to view them.
