According to Sheriff Mark Hebert during the last 272hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 117 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Donald Lee Landry, 48, 153 Glen & Becky Lane, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on October 19, 2012 at 6:56 pm at his residence for leash law violation. A deputy on patrol in the Baldwin area responded to an animal complaint in Sorrel. Upon arrival the deputy learned from the complainant that Landry's dog was loose. Landry was released on a summons to appear in court on January 16, 2012.
Davida Bias, 28, 1140 Grace Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on October 20, 2012 at 4:15 am at her residence on a warrant for issuing worthless checks and a warrant for Iberia Parish for failure to appear on the charge of speeding. A deputy responding to a complaint of a disturbance at the home learned of the warrants for Bias's arrest. She ws transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Her bond is set at $1000.
Luis Alberto Juarez Rodriguez, 21, 9019 William Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on October 20, 2012 at 9:03 am on U.S. Hwy. 90 in Morgan City for no drivers license and operating a vehicle without lawful presence in the United States. A deputy investigating a two vehicle crash on the Morgan City bridge learned that Rodriguez was operating one of the vehicles without lawful presence in the US. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond has been set.
Phillip Andre Wilson, Jr., 23, 101 Larimer Street, Lafayette, LA was arrested on October 20, 2012 on U.S. 90 near Ricohoc for possession of marijuana.
Cameron Alexander Simmons, 18, 1121 Lake Martin Road, Breaux Bridge, LA was arrested on October 20, 2012 at 4:09 pm on U.S. 90 near Ricohoc for possession of marijuana.
A deputy conducting a traffic stop investigation observed the odor of burning marijuana emanating from the vehicle. After receiving consent to search, the deputy located marijuana in the vehicle. Two passengers, Wilson and Simmons, were transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Both of their bonds are set at $2000.
Mario Alberto Alviar, 39, 177 Duval Lane, Amelia, LA was arrested on October 20, 2012 at 8:26 pm at the Westend Trailer Park in Amelia for stop sign violation, no proof of insurance, and operating a vehicle without lawful presence in the United States. A deputy patrolling the Amelia area observed a vehicle run a stop sign. A traffic stop was conducted. Following an investigation Alviar was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond has been set.
Jaye Bliss, 23, Hotard Trailer Park Lot 31 Railroad Avenue, Berwick, LA was arrested on October 20, 2012 at 9:01 pm at the SMPSO in Morgan City on warrants for failure to appear for probation review hearings, to pay a fine, and to pay a probation fee. He was also wanted on a warrant for probation and parole and on a warrant from MCPD for probation violation. Bliss turned himself in on the warrants. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond has been set.
Jeremy James Foney, 29, 2030 Third Street, Lake Charles, LA was arrested on October 21, 2012 at 12:20 am on Lake Palourde Road in Amelia, LA for careless operation and driving while intoxicated. A deputy patrolling the Amelia area responded to a single vehicle crash. Upon arrival the deputy observed a vehicle that had crashed through a fence. Upon speaking with the driver, identified as Foney, the deputy smelled the odor of alcohol on his breath and person. Foney later registered a 0.190g% on the Intoxilyzer 5000. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond has been set.
Ernesto Federico Vera, 26, 2619 Railroad Avenue, New Iberia, LA was arrested on October 21, 2012 at 11:27 am on U.S. Highway 90 in Berwick, LA for speeding, operating a vehicle without lawful presence in the United States, and unlawful possession of fraudulent documents. A deputy clocked a vehicle traveling 66 mph in a 55 mph zone and conducted a traffic stop. During the investigation the deputy learned that Vera was in possession of a fraudulent identification card and that he was operating the vehicle without lawful presence in the US. Vera was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond has been set.
Jermaine Montel Williams, Sr., 702 Scotty Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on October 21, 2012 at 11:50 am on Abbrienne Street in Franklin, LA on 5 warrants for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Williams was being detained by Franklin Police on the warrants. Williams was transported to the parish jail for booking and incaceration. His bond is set at $28,923.92.
Thelma Patrice Davis, 31, 100 Hanes Street, Lafayette, LA was arrested on October 21, 2012 at 8:12 pm at the SMPSO in Franklin, LA on a warrant for Iberia Parish for felony theft and on a warrant for Lafayette City Court for traffic violations. A deputy investigating a separate complaint learned of the warrants for Davis' arrest. She was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Her bond is set at $5,750.
