A Franklin man is dead after state troopers say he was run over by a drunk driver. The crash took place just before 9:00 Sunday night on LA 997 in Lower St. Martin Parish. State police say 26-year-old Mark Aucoin, Jr., died after a truck drove onto the shoulder and struck him. Investigators say the driver of the truck, 42-year-old Toby Ponville of Pierre Part, tested over the legal blood alcohol limit. Ponville is charged with vehicular homicide.
