RALEIGH, N.C. - The Ragin' Cajuns golf team carded a final round score of 12-over par (300) to finish the Wolfpack Intercollegiate in ninth place on Saturday at the Lonnie Pool Golf Course in Raleigh, N.C.
Louisiana finished the tournament with a three-round total of 32-over par (896). No.37 North Carolina stormed back to win the Wolfpack Intercollegiate firing a team score of 12-under par in the final round to finish at 10-under par (854).
East Carolina (E, 864), N.C. State (+14, 878), Western Carolina (+15, 879) and Maryland (+16, 880) round out the top 5 teams.
Carolina's Brandon Dalinka posted a low final round score of six-under par (66) to win individual medalist honors finishing at six-under par (210).
Both Brandt Garon and Yohann Vora dropped out of the top 25 finishing the event in a tie for 36th at seven-over (223).
Kelsey Angelle and Ethan Savoy each posted a score of 74 in the final round. Angelle finished in a tie for 54th at 12-over par (228), while Savoy came in 57th place at 14-over (230).
Freshman Thomas Strandemo closed out the scoring for the Cajuns posting a 75 in his final round to end the weekend in a tie for 66th at 20-over par (236).
The squad has off until Feb. 11-12 when they kickoff the spring season at the Oak Hills Invitational in San Antonio, Texas.
