MARRERO, La. (AP) - Jefferson Parish sheriff's deputies are investigating an overnight fatal shooting in Marrero.
Sheriff's spokesman Glen Boyd says deputies responded to a call of shots around 11 p.m. Wednesday and found 34-year-old Peter Carter lying on the ground in an empty lot with multiple bullet wounds.
Boyd said Carter was pronounced dead on the scene.
He said investigators have no suspects or motive.
