According to Sheriff Mark Hebert during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 39 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Jeffrey P. Adams, 49, 500 Lake Palourde Rd, Amelia, LA was arrested on September 10, 2012 at 12:53 pm at the address listed above for simple battery. A deputy was investigating a complaint of a battery that occurred at the Amelia Belle Casino. The victim and witnesses stated that during a verbal altercation Adams grabbed the female victim by the arm. Adams was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released after posting $500 bond.
Davis Joseph Portier, 31, 247 North Vivian St, Morgan City, LA was arrested on September 10, 2012 at 1:56 pm at the SMPSO in Morgan City on warrants for unauthorized use of an access card and issuing worthless checks. A detective made the arrest following an investigation into a complaint of credit card charges that were made without the permission of the cardholder. Portier was also wanted on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond had been set at the time of the press release.
Aaron Johnson,26, 1307 Third St, Patterson, LA was arrested on September 10, 2012 at 9:26 pm at a residence on Cremo Lane in Patterson on a warrant for criminal neglect of family. While investigating an unrelated complaint at the home the deputy came into contact with Johnson who was wanted on the warrant. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. His bond is set at $1830.
