Capitol Park Walking Tour

The Capitol Park Walking Tour will provide a brief history of the following areas: Fort San Carlos; War hero and President Zachary Taylor's Baton Rouge home; the Pentagon Barracks, Louisiana State University's first Baton Rouge campus; the New State Capitol; the State Capitol Annex; the Arsenal Museum and the Garrison Cemetery.
Tours begin at 9:15 a.m. at the Capitol Park Museum. Patrons are advised to dress comfortably. Walks may be cancelled for inclement weather. Tours generally last 60 to 90 minutes.. All walking tours are free and open to the public and leave from the Museum lobby.
