ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) - A former office manager of the Alexandria Pathology Lab has been sentenced to more than two years in prison for embezzling $350,000 from the company.
U.S. District Judge Dee Drell in Alexandria on Wednesday sentenced 59-year-old Linda Deselle, of Cheneyville, to 27 months in prison and ordered her to pay $350,000 in restitution and an $8,000 fine.
Deselle pleaded guilty in June to wire fraud charges. Prosecutors say she issued fraudulent checks from the company checking account to herself and her personal creditors.
