Kickboard USA Recalls Children's Scooter Due to Laceration Hazard

The following recall has been announced:

SCOOTERS

DETAILS: Mini Micro Scooters imported by Kickboard USA of Grand Rapids, Mich. and manufactured by Micro-Mobility Ltd. of Kusnacht, Switzerland; sold at independent toy stores, Amazon.com and Kickboardusa.com from May to July 2012. The three-wheeled Mini Micro scooter is for children ages 3 to 5. The scooter was sold in the following colors: blue, orange, pink and aqua. "Micro" is written in black and blue letters on the metal handlebar and is imprinted on the black hand grips. "Mini Micro" is written on the front plastic covering. The scooters were manufactured in Germany.

WHY: The one-piece plastic platform that covers the front wheel base can break, posing a laceration hazard to children.

INCIDENTS: None reported.

HOW MANY: About 5,600.
