Kentwood woman arrested in 2008 death of husband

AMITE, La. (AP) - A 34-year-old Kentwood woman has been arrested for her alleged involvement in the 2008 murder of her husband.

Brooklyn "Becc" Huber-Brown was arrested Tuesday on a charge of second-degree murder.

WAFB-TV reports the arrest came after the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office collected new evidence that allegedly reveals her involvement in the murder of 29-year-old Christopher Slater Brown, who was shot and killed while sleeping April 9, 2008.

The sheriff's office says the investigation is on-going and no further information would be released.

Aubrey Williams Sikes, who Huber-Brown identified as the shooter, is currently serving a life sentence for Brown's death. Sikes was an AWOL Marine at the time of the murder.
