Acadiana's typical summer weather pattern will continue over the next few days with hot and humid conditions persisting along with the chance of a few scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms.
Highs will continue in the low-mid 90s while rain chances stay in the vicinity of 20% through Thursday.
This weekend a frontal trough will approach the area once again engendering more instability and eventually translating to a better chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms, especially for Sunday into early next week.
In addition, deeper tropical moisture may try to work its way northward early next week insuring an unsettled weather pattern perhaps well into next week.
In the tropics, other than a disturbance in the middle of the Atlantic that may develop and effect no one, relatively quiet conditions persist.
