A volunteer group for Keiosha Felix are handing our fliers tomorrow. Sunday at noon at Girard Park, Tammy Charles and others will try to keep Felix's face in the community in hopes of bringing her home.
"She's a 15 year old girl in danger and she needs to come home."
Tammy Charles is currently working on opening a volunteer center similar to the one for Mickey Shunick. She helped in the search for her and wants to help bring another missing person home.
"While we were in the midst of all the searches, seeing Keiosha's picture pop up here and there, we immediately started sharing it and then going, "Wow, we have another kid from Lafayette that's missing." And you know if it's a kid from Lafayette it's one of ours. Anywhere within our reach we need to be able to step up and help," Charles said.
Charles hopes the community will come out and help keep Felix's face out there, so she can be returned home to her family.
"We just need to get moving. We need the community. You know that was the biggest thing that brought Mickey home, not with the happy ending we wanted, but it wouldn't have happened without the community."
