The fourth suspect in a robbery and beating last week near Ville Platte has been caught.
According to a news release, detectives with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office received information that Dustin Fontenot was near the area of Crowley. Detectives with the Acadia Parish Sheriff's office was able to take Dustin Fontenot into custody without incident, and he was later transferred to the Evangeline Parish Jail.
Investigators say Fontenot was one of four suspects who attacked a man and stole $1500 from him last Wednesday at a convenience store on LA 10. All suspects are in custody on second-degree robbery and attempted second-degree murder charges.
