Three rescued from water after helicopter goes down

Three people were rescued from the water this afternoon after their helicopter went down about 30 miles southwest of Terrebone Bay. The Coast Guard says three people were onboard, and there are no injuries to report. The call came in around 1:06 p.m. from the offshore supply vessel, Trinity V, owned by Trinity Lifeboat Services, LLC of New Iberia.  The three people were rescued by the offshore supply vessel Judy D, owned by Marine Transportation Services Inc., which is also working to recover the helicopter. The company who owns the helicopter is Panther Helicopters based out of Belle Chasse. The cause of the crash is unknown.
