If you want to be a Notary Public, the University of Louisiana-Lafayette is offering an intensive basic notary test preparation course in the Fall 2013 semester on Tuesday evenings from 6:00-8:50 p.m. The class starts August 27 and ends December 3, just a few days before the state wide test. Students are taught by Fred W. Davis, Visiting Instructor of Legal Studies, an attorney and notary for over 30 years. His engaging, interactive approach to teaching the material has made the difference for many students who successfully obtain their notarial commission, after attending his class.
The course is designed to prepare students for the state notary test and is taught twice annually at UL Lafayette through the Department of Marketing and Hospitality. In addition to effective and dynamic classroom instruction, students are exposed to testing similar to the components on the state exam to assist in preparing for the state exam.
Students do NOT have to be seeking a degree to enroll in this course.
Call UL University College at 337-482-6729 for information regarding registration and costs for the course known as BLAW 240-001. For more information about the course, contact Fred W. Davis at fdavis@rhhnet.com or fwd0103@louisiana.edu.
