HOUMA, La. (AP) - State police say a dark-colored late-model Honda Accord is being sought in connection with the hit-and-run that left a Galliano man dead.
The Courier reports 29-year-old Jay Curler was killed Aug. 2 when a passing car ran over him and kept going. The crash happened about 2 a.m. on the Bourg-Larose Highway in Grand Bois near the Terrebonne/Lafourche boundary.
Curler was lying face up, with the upper part of his body in the southbound lane, when a passing car ran over him and kept going, police have said.
Troopers now say they secured footage from a gas station's surveillance camera that could show the car in question.
