NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A New Orleans man has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the deaths of two women inside an eastern New Orleans motel in 2004.
Roger Robinson entered his plea Monday and was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Robinson took a plea deal offered in exchange for a 20-year sentence, with credit for the nearly nine years he has already served. Robinson has been in jail since his arrest on Dec. 10, 2004, a week after police say he gunned down two young women at a motel room party after flying into a rage about $20 he was missing.
Robinson was initially booked on charges of first-degree murder in the Dec. 2 deaths of Monalisa Sentino and Danielle Allen, both 20, both of New Orleans.
