A Carencro man is in jail for a Saturday night convenience store armed robbery, and police say they do not believe his crime is not related to another robbery that took place at another store across the street earlier that evening.
Officers arrested a suspect in the second incident early Sunday morning. Robert Moten is accused of robbing the Valero at the corner of Dulles Drive and Ambassador Caffery just before 7:00 Saturday night. He is charged with armed robbery.
Police say five minutes earlier, Gerald Gable held up the Shop Rite convenience store across the street from the Valero. Gable was also arrested Sunday. He now faces first-degree robbery charges.
