Benefit planned for music programs at NO school

Warren Easton Charter High School alumni Troy "Trombone" Shorty and Nicholas Payton will be the headliners for a Sept. 5 concert honoring clarinetist Pete Fountain and benefiting the school.
The performance will be at 8 p.m. in auditorium of the school at 3019 Canal St.
Proceeds will be used for music programs at the school and for scholarships for instrumental music students.
Tickets are priced from $50 to $125. VIP tickets (at $125) include a patron party at 7 p.m., special concert seating and refreshments.
