Hall found guilty in deadly road rage trial

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - A judge found the woman accused of killing five people in a road rage wreck guilty of negligent homicide in a bench trial in Baton Rouge.

State District Judge Trudy White found Kelsye Hall guilty Friday on five counts of negligent homicide in the 2011 wreck on Interstate 10. Because the proceedings were a bench trial, the judge rendered the verdict instead of a jury.

WBRZ TV reports White denied post-conviction bail for Hall, and remanded her to the custody of the Department of Corrections until she could be sentenced.

Investigators said the wreck happened after a Hall and another driver, David Leger, chased each other along the interstate at high speeds. Leger was also charged with vehicular homicide.
