According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 49 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Juvenile female, 13, Baldwin, LA was arrested on August 8, 2013 at 9:12 am for possession of drug paraphernalia and truancy. A deputy responded to a complaint of an ungovernable juvenile. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that the juvenile female refused to go to school. She was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
David Wayne Mire, 37, 1014 Duchamp Street, St. Martinville, LA was arrested on August 8, 2013 at 12:11 pm on two warrants for failure to appear on the charges of criminal neglect of family. A deputy received information regarding Mire's whereabouts and located him on the warrants in a parking lot on Highway 90 in Bayou Vista. Mire was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $29,634.
Thalassa Frickey, 36, 1221 Gov Nicholls Street, New Orleans, LA was arrested on August 8, 2013 at 6:20 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a retail store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned that Frickey was observed placing several items of make up in her purse. Frickey then attempted to leave the store without paying for the items. She was released on a summons to appear in court on November 6, 2013.
