St. Mary Parish Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 51 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Wilbert Gray, Jr., 54, 422 Brocato Lane, Raceleand, LA was arrested on August 7, 2013 at 3:17 pm for possession of stolen things. On the morning of August 7, 2013, a deputy responded to a report of a burglary at a business on Highway 90 in the Patterson area. Later in the day, the deputy received information regarding the location of the items that had been reported stolen. The deputy located the stolen items at a scrap yard in the Morgan City area. The subject attempting to sell the items as scrap was identified as Gray. Gray was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration.

Harold Devillier, Jr., 915 Old Spanish Road, was arrested on August 7, 2013 at 8:10 pm on a warrant from Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office for failure to appear. A deputy responding to a complaint in the Bayou Vista area made contact with Devillier who was wanted on the warrant. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Brandon Francis, 24, 111 Sorrell Road, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on August 8, 2013 at 1:38 am for criminal damage to property, disturbing the peace, public intimidation, domestic abuse battery, and violation of a protective order. A deputy responded to a report of damaged property at a home on Sorrell Road. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Francis had broken multiple windows of a house. With the assistance of by-standers in the neighborhood, the deputy located Francis. Upon coming into contact with him, Francis threatened deputies and a female victim. Francis was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Marlin Ballard, 34, 612 Linda Ann Lane, Gray, LA was arrested on August 8, 2013 at 2:53 pm on a warrant for probation violation. A deputy responded to a report of a suspicious person on Highway 90 in the Centerville area. The deputy made contact with the subject who was identified as Ballard. While speaking with Ballard, the deputy learned of the warrant for his arrest. Ballard was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
