St. Mary Parish Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 55 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Louis Bryant Tabb, 20, 1486 Chitimacha Trail, Charenton, LA was arrested on August 6, 2013 at 6:35 am for obstruction of a highway, possession of Schedule I (marijuana), possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of simple burglary. A deputy responded to a report of a vehicle parked in the roadway on Chitimacha Trail. Upon arrival, the deputy found the driver of the vehicle asleep. The deputy also observed a bag containing suspected marijuana inside the vehicle. Tabb was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. During this investigation, the deputy observed and noted other items inside of Tabb's vehicle that would be relevant to another investigation later that morning. At 7:30 am the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office received a report of a vehicle burglary that took place on Highway 319 in Cypremort Point. The responding deputy identified the items that had been stolen as those inside of Tabb's vehicle. Through further investigation, Tabb was linked to another burglary in Cypremort Point. The victim of the second burglary has not yet been identified. No bond is set.

Matthew Green, 18, 8600 Highway 182, Centerville, LA was arrested on August 6, 2013 at 7:59 am on a warrant from Franklin Police Department for failure to appear. A deputy responding to a request to remove a subject made contact with Green who was wanted on the warrant. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Green was later transported to another jurisdiction.

Melvin Duval, Jr., 48, 100 Shivers Road, Patterson, LA was arrested on August 6, 2013 at 10:55 am on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. He was released on a summons to appear in court on November 6, 2013.

Natasha Nichole Marks, 23, 214 Arkansas Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on August 6, 2013 at 11:15 am on a warrant for simple battery. A deputy located Marks in Sorrell on Railroad Row Road. The warrant stems from an investigation in August 2011 in which a female victim was punched and kicked at a residence on Cypremort Road in Four Corners. Marks was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. She was released on a $500 bond.

Kathy Schaub, 32, 714 Onstead Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on August 6, 2013 at 3:44 pm for theft of goods and entering or remaining where forbidden. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a retail store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned that Schaub, who had been previously banned from the property, was observed exiting the store without paying for an item. Schaub was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. She was released on a $1,500 bond.

Brett Latray Marks, 41, 109 Rosa Lane, Four Corners, LA was arrested on August 6, 2013 at 4:24 pm on a warrant for theft. A detective investigating the theft of scrap metal from a farm in Ashton developed Marks as a suspect. Marks came in to the St. Mary parish Sheriff's Office in Franklin in reference to the investigation. He was subsequently arrested and transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $2,000 bond. This is the fourth and final arrest in this case pending any new information regarding the crime.

Teraza Foster, 46, 308 Carol Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on August 6, 2013 at 4:49 pm on a warrant for defamation. A deputy located Foster at her residence on the warrant. The warrant stems from an investigation into false, derogatory comments posted by Foster on Facebook regarding a female victim. Foster was released on a summons to appear in court on November 6, 2013.

Quinton Neal Paul, 49, 1411 Parbuck Lane, Centerville, LA was arrested on August 6, 2013 at 5:35 pm for obstruction of a highway ad disturbing the peace intoxicated. A deputy responded to several calls of a male subject standing in the roadway on Highway 90 near the Centerville exit. Upon arrival, the deputy located Paul who had been sitting in the roadway of the westbound lane. The deputy observed Paul to be highly intoxicated. Paul was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $1,000.

Chance Boudreaux, 18, 400 Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, LA was arrested on August 6, 2013 at 6:42 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft of a firearm. A deputy made contact with Boudreaux at a residence on Landry Lane in Patterson and learned of the warrant for his arrest. Boudreaux was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Kara Lynn Foster, 22, 111 Guzzetta Drive, Berwick, LA was arrested on August 6, 2013 at 7:53 pm on a warrant for defamation. Foster turned herself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Morgan City after learning of the warrant for her arrest. The warrant stems from an investigation into false, derogatory comments posted by Foster on Facebook regarding a female victim. Foster was released on a summons to appear in court on November 6, 2013. This is the same investigation involving the arrest of Teraza Foster.

Brandon Berger, 35, 421 Carlotte Drive, Patterson, LA was arrested on August 6, 2013 at 9:17 pm for tail lights required, possession of Schedule III (Lortab) with intent to distribute, and on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. A deputy patrolling the Amelia area observed a vehicle with no tail lights and conducted a traffic stop on Highway 182 in Morgan City. Upon making contact with the driver, the deputy identified him as Berger and learned of the active warrant. While speaking with Berger, the deputy received consent to search the vehicle and located several Lortab pills. Berger was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Angel Strickland, 21, 112 Honey Lane, Morgan City, LA was arrested on August 7, 2013 at 3:22 am for unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, simple battery, and disturbing the peace intoxicated. A deputy patrolling the Amelia area responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence on Second Street in Amelia. Upon arrival the deputy observed a female subject yelling in the front yard. During the course of the investigation the deputy learned that the female, identified as Strickland, entered a home and struck a male victim repeatedly. While speaking with Stickland, the deputy detected the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath and person. Strickland was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Michael Thompson, Jr., 19, 1026 ½ Fifth St. Morgan City, LA was arrested on August 6, 2013 at 9:44 pm on Third Street for possession of Schedule III (Lortab) and failure to properly signal a turn. Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division patrolling the Morgan City area observed a vehicle fail to properly signal a turn and conducted a traffic stop. Upon making contact with the driver, detectives observed a Lortab pill inside the vehicle. Thompson was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
