Mary Nash Robinson will serve as Caddo schools' superintendent, but not in the way she had originally intended.
The Caddo Parish School Board once again remained in a 6-6 deadlock vote between superintendent finalists John Dilworth and Robinson during a meeting Tuesday.
The board will immediately begin another round of searching for candidates while Robinson serves as interim superintendent beginning Monday. In exchange, Robinson said she will not seek the superintendency and will return to her position as chief of staff when a permanent superintendent is found.
Last week, the board voted twice in an attempt to name a superintendent. Both of those votes also resulted in a 6-6 split.
