Police say a man suspected of stealing soft drinks and beer from a store fled on a bicycle and led a police cruiser on a chase before being caught.
A business called Thibodaux police Sunday to report the suspect, 53-year-old Cyril Harley, had stolen more than a dozen cans of alcohol and a soft drink.
When an officer ordered Harley back to the store, they say he shouted "hold on," then peddled away.
The officer caught up with Harley on Louisiana Highway 308 in his cruiser.
Harley was booked on charges of theft and resisting an officer.
It was not immediately clear whether Harley has an attorney.
