Festival International de Louisiane (FIL) released its job announcement today kicking off a nationwide search for a new, full-time Executive Director.
Craig Minnick, President of the FIL Board of Directors says, "We are looking forward to a strategic process to select the next executive director to lead Festival International through its next phase of innovation and growth. We are seeking a strong and proven leader that will represent and lead Festival International into the next generation."
The Executive Director is responsible for the successful leadership and management of the organization according to the strategic direction set by the Board of Directors.
The intended start date for the new Executive Director is slated for Fall 2013. The selection committee is seeking candidates with five or more years of progressive management principles as they relate to nonprofit/volunteer-based organizations. Other qualifications include: human resources and business management; economic development, industry-based alliances and partnerships, senior leadership, operational knowledge, fundraising, strategic planning, event production, marketing and communications experience.
