Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of South Louisiana (SoLA) is a non-profit organization that recruits and supports volunteers in Acadia, Lafayette and Vermilion Parishes to advocate for abused and neglected children in foster care. Volunteers assess and monitor their own case, speaking for the best interest of the child(ren) in court in an effort to find each child a safe, nurturing, and permanent home. Often times, a CASA volunteer is the only consistent adult in the child's life. Everything a volunteer needs to know, they will learn during training. Training begins August 17th.
