According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 40 complaints and reports the following arrests:
James Crosby, 47, 2136 Highway 83, Ashton, LA was arrested on July 31, 2013 at 6:09 pm on two counts of theft and on a warrant for theft. A detective investigating the theft of scrap metal from a farm in Ashton developed Crosby as a suspect. Crosby turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Franklin after learning of the warrant for his arrest. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set. This is the second arrest in this case (see Monday's release.) The investigation is ongoing.
Donna Harvey, 55, 153 Mars Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on July 31, 2013 at 8:48 pm on warrants for failure to appear on the charges of theft of goods and failure to use a seatbelt. A deputy located Harvey at her residence on the warrant. She was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $2,100.
Avelar Salvador, 48, 9801 Larkwood Drive, Houston, TX was arrested on August 1, 2013 at 12:36 am for reckless operation of a vehicle. A deputy responded to a complaint of an 18 wheeler crossing the median of Highway 90 in the Franklin area. The deputy located the truck, conducted a traffic stop, and made contact with the driver, identified as Salvador. During the investigation, the deputy learned that Salvador lost control of the vehicle travelling across the median and into the oncoming lanes of traffic. Salvador was released on a summons to appear in court on November 6, 2013.

Larry Duval, 67, 235 North Verret Street, Amelia, LA was arrested on July 25, 2013 at 2:43 pm on a warrant for simple battery. A deputy located Duval on the warrant at his residence. The warrant stems from an investigation into a complaint of a battery in which Duval grabbed a female victim. Duval was released on a summons to appear in court on October 9, 2013.
Milton Conrad Boudreaux, Jr., 47, 3004 Lizabeth Dr. Morgan City, LA was arrested on August 1, 2013 at 12:01 am on the following charges:
Possession of synthetic cannabinoids with intent to distribute
Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Violation of a controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone)
Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division investigating illegal drug activity made contact with Boudreaux at a business on Highway 182 in Bayou Vista in the vicinity of church. While speaking with Boudreaux, detectives received consent to search his vehicle. Detectives located several bags of synthetic cannabinoids with an approximate street value $2,300 and several bags of methamphetamine with an approximate street value of $750. Drug paraphernalia also was located in the vehicle. Boudreaux was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
