New info reopens 2003, 2006 Tangipahoa killings

HAMMOND, La. (AP) - New information has breathed life into two cold criminal cases in Tangipahoa Parish.

Sheriff's spokeswoman Dawn Panepinto says detectives have recently received several leads about the shooting of 30-year-old Timothy Brown, who was gunned down in the parking lot of Pea's lounge shortly before 2 a.m. on Dec. 29, 2006.

Witnesses told investigators Brown was trying to break up a fight between several people when he was killed.

The Daily Star reports the sheriff's office also has uncovered new leads in the 2003 death of 44-year-old Debbie Ann Lindsey, whose decomposed body was found in a wooded area near her home.
