The sentencing for a man convicted of killing a Eunice couple has been pushed back a month.
Warren Gautreaux will now learn his fate on September 5.
Gautreaux was convicted in May on two counts of first-degree murder in the January 2006 deaths of Youric and Mary Courville.
Gautreaux attorney, Jarvis Claiborne, filed a motion seeking a new trial shortly after the Gautreaux's trial concluded. Claiborne claims two witnesses committed perjury. In addition, Claiborne says Gautreaux did not have a fair trial because he could not cross-examine the witnesses who allegedly perjured themselves.
The hearing on the motion for a new trial will also be held on September 5.
