Tomorrow many new laws passed in the legislative session go into effect.
From culture to French language, Cajun pride was the focus of several bills during the legislative session.
As of tomorrow people can start purchasing license plates that say, "I'm Cajun and proud" or "I'm Creole and proud."
The plates would cost $15 a year, on top of any other standard charges. The dollars slated will pay for scholarships from the council for the development of French in Louisiana.
This is just one of many new laws going into effect tomorrow.
