A Church Point food pantry will be expanded thanks to a $70,000 grant from Wal-Mart.
The Community Investors Incorporated facility will use the grant to add foods that promote a healthier lifestyle to its facility.
Community Investors, Inc., says its goal is to ease the burdens of poverty, to prepare youth for brighter futures, and addressing the state's poverty issue by educating children, providing services to young adults and caring for senior citizens.
