The Lafayette Recreation and Parks Department has set the registration period for fall youth sports. Registration throughout the parish will begin on Saturday, August 3rd and continue through Monday, August 19th.
Fall sports offered by the LRPD include tackle and flag football, fall baseball and fastpitch softball and volleyball. These programs are offered for boys and girls ages 7 to 17, depending on what sport in which they choose to participate.
Registration will take place at each of the seven youth associations in the parish. Those associations include: BYYA (Broussard/Youngsville Youth Association), BPA (Brown Park Athletics), CSA (Cajun Sports Association), CAYSI (Carencro Area Youth Sports Incorporated), SATS (Scott Area Team Sports), SLYSI (South Lafayette Youth Sports Incorporated), and SWA (Southwest Athletics). for more information on registration contact the LRPD at 291-8362, 291-8375, 291-8368 or 291-8380.
