UL professor scores nanotechnology grant

The National Science Foundation has announced an award for UL in the amount of $374,850 for work in nanotechnology.

The grant, which is designated as part of the NSF's nanomanufacturing initiative, will go toward a project called "Processing-Structure-Property Relationship in the Fabrication of Hybrid Nanostructured Materials with Tunable Architecture."

The lead investigator on the project is Devesh Misra, Ph.D., a professor of chemical engineering at the university.

"I am proud to see the University of Louisiana at Lafayette's scientific teams continue to advance research in South Louisiana," said U.S. Rep. Charles Boustany of the grant.
